Japan’s JPYC Stablecoin Expands via LINE’s Unifi Web3 Wallet Integration
JPYC, the Japanese yen-pegged stablecoin, is set to integrate with Unifi, a forthcoming Web3 wallet developed by LINE NEXT. This collaboration will enable LINE’s 100 million-plus active users in Japan to manage JPYC directly within the messaging app, positioning the MOVE as a catalyst for mainstream digital asset adoption.
Founded in 2019, JPYC has deployed its stablecoin across Ethereum, Avalanche, and Polygon, with plans to expand to the Kaia network—a merger of Klaytn and Finschia projects. Kaia’s potential reach of 250 million users across Asia could significantly bolster JPYC’s regional footprint.
The Unifi wallet eliminates the need for new installations, allowing LINE users to seamlessly store, send, and receive JPYC within their existing chat interface. This integration aims to bridge stablecoin utility with everyday communication platforms.
